Brecht de Backer (1987) obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in Dutch Language and Linguistics, and in Film, Theater and Literature Science at the University of Antwerp. She also holds a master's degree in Literary Entrepreneurship from Radboud University Nijmegen. She works as editor in chief for Museumnacht, 8weekly, 3voor12, Vileine and Eye Filmmuseum, and freelances in PR, marketing and communication for various cultural institutions and companies. Her debut Because they live will be published by Atlas Contact in September 2022.
